Luxinnovation will host the workshop “How to grow your cleantech business from Luxembourg – the perfect central hub.” at the CleanTech Forum Europe 2017 to be held in Helsinki from 16 to 18 May. APATEQ, venture capitalist Encevo (newly launched VC team of parent company Enovos, the largest power company in Luxembourg) and the Luxembourg Institute of Science and Technology (LIST) will also participate in the workshop to present their competencies and projects in the field. 

According to workshop moderator Georges Schaaf, Head of Sector Development Cleantech & Manufacturing at Luxinnovation Industries, adds: “Luxembourg is increasingly becoming an attractive and dynamic country for international clean-tech R&D and innovation. Owing to the country’s strategic location, 60% of European GDP is only an hour’s flight away from Luxembourg, making the country a perfect, central
hub.”

The Cleantech Forum brings together innovative, entrepreneurial companies, industrial multinational corporations and financial investors in the field of information, bio and clean technology. With speeches, panel discussions, workshops and networking lunches and dinners, the annual Cleantech Forum offers various information, network and business opportunities.

Two first Luxembourg start-ups receive EIC Accelerator funding

The European Commission recently announced that Arspectra and Circuli-ion have been awarded funding from the European Innovation Council (EIC) Accelerator. This is the most prestigious funding available for start-ups from the EU’s Horizon Europe programme. LIST opens sustainable composite materials innovation centre

The Materials Department of the Luxembourg Institute of Science and Technology (LIST) has recently launched a Sustainable Composite Materials and Manufacturing Innovation Centre (SCMM).
