Thomas Bontempi Medica, one of the biggest medical technology trade fairs in the world, welcomes numerous international exhibitors and experts from the healthcare sector every year. Over 5,200 exhibitors will be present at this year’s edition, including several innovative Luxembourg companies that are advancing the frontiers of medical care.

The medical and healthcare market is a key pillar of our strategy.

Husky Technologies, a leading global technology company that serves the medical and packaging industries, with operations in over 140 countries, is one of such companies that will be represented at the Luxembourg Pavilion in hall 3, stand A74. As a returning exhibitor at the fair, Husky Technologies’ Head of Medical Business Development, Thomas Bontempi, explains further.

What does your company offer in the field of health technologies?

Husky is a single source supplier for injection molding solutions (machines, Schöttli medical molds, hot-runners and controllers, auxiliaries, services) to enable the production of medical components and consumables for the medical and healthcare industry such as syringes, autoinjectors, pipette-tips, blood-tubes, IVD (In Vitro Diagnostic), infusion-transfusion sets, analytic devices, and more.

What is the objective of your participation at MEDICA?

Our goal is to showcase our technology and connect with existing customers and future prospects. Additionally, we aim to network and learn about industry needs in order to incorporate the feedback in our development roadmap.

Why is the healthtech field of strategic importance to you?

Husky Schöttli MoldsThe medical and healthcare market is a key pillar of our strategy because it allows us to leverage our deep knowledge of the injection moulding process and application requirements, where we have a long-standing experience that goes back more than 50 years with our Schöttli Molds brand.

We aim to network and learn about industry needs in order to incorporate the feedback in our development roadmap.

In addition, we can meet market requirements on an unmatched scale and support large scale up programmes with uncompromised quality and lowest risk. We also see a common pattern between different markets where we are present such as food and beverages and healthcare, where growing population and GDP per capita is pushing demand for solutions that we can meet through a common technology platform and operational delivery model. This allows us to drive synergies and deliver value to the market through fully integrated solutions that minimise risk and improve efficiencies for customers.
