Since 2008, more than 220 projects have been co-financed under this programme, involving more than 1,000 partner companies, nearly half of which are SMEs that collaborate with user organisations, large companies, universities and research organisations to develop innovative solutions.
In Luxembourg, the Ministry of the Economy (via Luxinnovation as National Contact Point) and the National Research Fund provide access to AAL funding with a dedicated budget of € 325,000 each, for a total of € 800,000, adding the complementary mechanisms of the European Union.
The next call for projects will be launched in February 2019, on the subject”Sustainable smart solutions to age well”. An information day will be held in Brussels on 31 January, during which the AAL National Contact Points, the European Commission officials and the ALA secretariat will present details of the call and give guidelines about the different ways to apply and to obtain an increased chance of success.
