Starting and ending in the modern Kirchberg district that hosts financial and auditing giants as well as numerous institutions of the European Union, the route took them through the historical city centre, parks and residential areas. They were encouraged on their way by no less than 30 samba bands who played along the course. Together with the food and beverage stands – without which no event can take place in Luxembourg – they turned the city into a huge party.

The winners of this 13th edition of the Night Marathon were Mark Kangogo from Kenya and Lakelesh Feysa Dera from Ethiopia.
