Pitch Your Startup 2018 is approaching! Discover the participating start-ups, learn about how Luxinnovation creates value for them and let’s meet at ICT Spring Europe!

Docler to release 17 finalists

180 applications from over 35 countries- that is the outcome of this year’s call for applications for Pitch Your Startup powered by Docler Holding, BIL, Nyuko, EY, Luxinnovation, the LHoFT, eaec, Silversquare and the Luxembourg City Incubator. During ICT Spring Europe, 17 start-ups have been selected to pitch their project on stage.

The jury, including Jean-Michel Ludwig (Director Start-Up Support & SME Performance at Luxinnovation), finally chose companies from all over the world with five having Luxembourg roots.

Among the 17, two companies from the current Fit 4 Start cohort and one graduate were chosen as well! Inkspired, Hopes and Teliport.me will participate as pitching companies, trying to create further awareness and advancing their projects.

Pitch Training by Luxinnovation

Luxinnovation’s Start-Up team has offered pitch-training sessions to all participants! All selected companies may benefitted from tailored support on their pitch deck and oral presentation. The 3 minutes & 33 seconds of pitching, constitute an exciting challenge for most of the entrepreneurs.

For this reason, the original pitch conditions were projected as realistic as possible during the training session in order to create the most valuable outcome for each entrepreneur.

Do you have a contest or an investor meeting pending as well? Then learn more about our services for start-ups, and contact us! Until then, discover a few valuable pitching tips from our Head of Start-Up Support, Stefan Berend:

  • Know your audience – adjust your key message accordingly
  • Customer focus – shape your value proposition & be clear on the pain, your solution is able to solve
  • Design matters – visualise your messages, clean your slides, “less is more”
  • Key takeaways for your audience – It is not just the jury in the room, but also potential partners, investors and clients in the audience: Ever considered, to pave the way of easily getting in touch, remembering your company, raising awareness about your current needs with the very last slide? The slide of the deck, which is visible (often) during the entire Q&A!

6 days left, the countdown runs, but there is still time to register for ICT Spring in order to see those amazing start-ups pitch live on stage. Also, visit us at the Luxinnovation booth!
