Luxinnovation spoke with HealthTech start-up CEO Jacob Arnould:

How did you first hear about Luxinnovation and our Fit 4 Start programme?

I went to the House of Entrepreneurship on an open day (every Tuesday morning) to learn about Luxembourg’s incubator and accelerator programme opportunities. On this occasion, I met Laurence Hulin from Luxinnovation who convinced me to apply for Fit4Start.

What was your biggest achievement?

Our biggest achievement was acquiring the support of key industry leaders and establishing a partnership with an institution to pilot our MVP.

Name 3 things you especially like about the Fit 4 Start programme?

  • The fast pace and structure ;
  • Networking and learning opportunities among the participating startups ;
  • The business development support from Luxinnovation and the Cluster Manager

What did you learn so far by participating in the Fit 4 Start programme?

It is possible to make a for-profit business, which has a positive impact on society without compromising on our idea. Social entrepreneurship is possible.

What are the upcoming challenges for your start-up?

Competition is moving fast. We must bring in investors who have industry and management experience to enable us to move faster.

Tips and tricks of an entrepreneur:

What advice would you give to other entrepreneurs?

“Everett’s interpretation of quantum mechanics implies that all possible alternate futures are real; every quantum outcome is realised in the multiverse. As long as your dreams don’t break any laws of physics, they are possible. Not only possible, they will actually happen. You’ve got nothing to lose.”
