The country is ranked 8th in the world and 2nd in Europe for economic potential in the fDi’s Digital Economies of the Future 2018/19 study.
The ranking is based on data for 117 locations worldwide. The evaluation of economic potential is based on population, population growth rate, unemployment rate, inflation rate, GDP, GDP per capita, average annual GDP growth rate (2013-2017) and projected annual GDP growth rate (2018-2022).
The Luxembourg passport is placed 4th in the Henley Passport Index, which analyses the number of destinations passport holders can access without the need for a visa.
