Luxembourg has the world's 5th fastest internet

Territories with the world's fastest internet according to Cable.co.uk With a mean download speed of 118.05 bps, Luxembourg has the 5th fastest internet in the world. This is the conclusion of Cable.co.uk, a UK website that helps consumers compare broadband and phone packages from different providers.

The data used in the study was gathered by M-Lab, an open source project with contributors from civil society organisations, educational institutions, and private sector companies. To compile the report, researchers conducted speed tests in 221 countries and territories.

Fastest internet

8 of the top 10 top spots in the world for internet speed are in Western Europe, with the first 5 places being held by Liechtenstein, Jersey, Andorra, Gibraltar and Luxembourg. Luxembourg’s neighbouring countries are to be found in place 24 (Belgium), 36 (France) and 42 (Germany).

Year-on-year inflation lowest in Luxembourg

Luxembourg recorded the lowest annual inflation rate in member states in January 2023, according to the figures published on 23 February by the statistical office of the European Union, Eurostat.
