Launched in 2015 by the Ministry of the Economy, Fit 4 Start is a renowned acceleration programme for supporting start-ups.  Start-ups benefitting from the programme, established in Luxembourg or another country, including outside the European Union, are selected twice a year. Managed by Luxinnovation with support from the Ministry of the Economy, the Fit 4 Start programme is opening its next call for candidates for national and international start-ups on Monday 9 December.

The next edition of Fit 4 Start is aimed at young innovative companies active in the information and communication technologies sector (ICT) as well as the space technology sector. Registrations can be made online up until 20 January 2020 at 12.00 hours (midday Luxembourg time) via www.fit4start.com.

ICT and spacetech start-ups

A pre-selection is carried out on the basis of the applications received.  Candidates who are pre-selected will be notified on 3 February 2020.  The pre-selected start-ups then meet for a pitching session organised during the “Pitching and Graduation day” which will take place on 26 March in Luxembourg City. 10 ICT and 5 space technology start-ups will be selected by an international jury to take part in the 10th edition.

Funding, coaching, hosting

Fit 4 Start offers to the 15 start-ups finally selected a grant of €50,000, personalised and intensive coaching as well as free co-working space during four months at one of two incubator partners, Technoport and the Luxembourg City Incubator.  An additional grant of €100,000 is awarded by the Ministry of the Economy to start-ups which have successfully completed the programme and which have managed to raise at least €50,000 in private capital.
