Following a short introduction of the cluster and its strategy, the cluster members had the opportunity to present themselves, their activities and areas of expertise to their peers. An interesting challenge was undertaken where each presenter had to sum up their expectations towards the new creative cluster in three keywords. Naturally, a brand new Creative Industries Cluster comes with many different expectations but the baseline was: collaborative projects, funding opportunities and lots of fun.
Marc Lis, Cluster Manager, is ready to take on this challenge using a bottom-up approach: “When building something new you need to familiarise yourself with the existing eco-system first. Right from the word “go” I met with interested parties who wanted to find out more about the cluster and join the cluster in a very pro-active way. Yesterday was testimony for this enthusiasm as out of 55 registered guests 52 attended our first networking event. A big thank you goes out to our members who demonstrated a willingness to build this cluster together according to a collaborative bottom-up approach.”
The evening continued 81-meters high up in the air on the skyliner, where participants could get to know each other better in a relaxed atmosphere combined with a spectacular view over Luxembourg by night.
On the agenda
In the upcoming months the cluster will organise specific working groups to prepare detailed project cases such as the independent status of creative professionals or the export of creative products and services. Interested members are welcome to get in touch to join the work groups or submit their project ideas to the suggestion box.
