What is the EUREKA Network?

The EUREKA network is a public-funded and intergovernmental matchmaker dedicated to innovation. It connects businesses to the partners, customers and investors that can help them turn innovative ideas into commercially successful products and services facilitating business growth.

EUREKA is the largest global network of R&D&I funding involving ministries and innovation agencies from over 45 countries and the European Commission. The network members coordinate their public funding to support their businesses to prosper and thrive through collaborative transnational research and innovation projects.

Luxembourg participation in 2020 calls

Luxembourg is participating this year in three Eureka calls for projects as a funding country. The calls are based on mutual agreements between the participating funding bodies.
Please find details below and check if you are eligible to participate.

  1. Multilateral call for projects: Advanced materials 

  • Target audience: Luxembourg companies who can form a consortium with at least one other (for profit) independent company from another of the participating countries (more details here). The participation of research institutes/universities is welcome according to each country’s funding regulations. The project should have a civilian purpose.
  • Field of activity: Participants are invited to submit applied research and innovation project proposals in the field of advanced materials in the following business fields: Semiconductors and Display; Secondary Batteries and Sensor; Carbon Industry and Chemistry; Machinery, Robots and Metal Industry.

Opening of the Call: 17/01/2020
Deadline for Eureka applications: 30/06/2020

 

  1. Multilateral call for projects on healthy ageing

  • Target audience: Participation is extended to Luxembourg companies who can form a consortium with at least one other (for profit) independent company from another of the participating countries (register here). The participation of research institutes/universities is welcome according to each country’s funding regulations. The project should have a civilian purpose.
  • Field of activity: Participants are invited to submit applied research and innovation project proposals in development of digital health tools and smart devices to promote healthy ageing.

Opening of the Call: 14 April 2020
Deadline for applications: 5 August 2020

  1. Cluster AI call for project 

  • Target audience: Participation is extended to Luxembourg companies who can form a consortium with at least one other (for profit) independent company from another of the participating countries (Eureka Clusters AI Call Portal). The participation of research institutes/universities is welcome according to each country’s funding regulations.
  • Field of activity: Participants are invited to submit applied research and innovation project proposals in the field of Artificial intelligence, highlighting the economic and societal benefits to be obtained (where relevant) in the project proposal.

Opening of the Call: 01/04/2020
Deadline for applications : 15 June 2020
