ICWAM’2019, the 2nd edition of the International Congress on Welding, Additive Manufacturing and associated non-destructive testing is organized by Institut de Soudure, the French Welding Institute. For this 2nd edition, the three main topics of the congress will be addressed on both metallic and composite materials to encourage synergies, cooperation and innovation among stakeholders.
Its program comprises scientific conference, technical exhibition and industrial visits.
Scientific Conference
The conference includes plenary sessions and oral communications, which will be held on June 5 and 6, 2019 in the brand new Metz Congress Robert Schuman Center.
The program is designed to allow interaction among attendees and to promote an active dialogue between academic researchers and industrial delegates in order to bridge the gap between academia and pressing industrial needs.
As part of the program, world-renown scientists will be invited to present keynotes related to their field of expertise in link with the conference topics.
Technical exhibition
The technical exhibition will run in parallel with the scientific conference in the halls of Metz Congress Robert Schuman Center (conference venue). The exhibitors will have the opportunity to present their products, services and technologies on June 5 and 6, 2019.
Industrial visits
Visits of production sites and selected R&D centres will be planned on June 7, 2019. Visits topics will include:
- welding and wire-feed additive manufacturing;
- composite welding and processing;
- metal working & transformation.
